Plastic Recycling
Value creation from plastic waste can be achieved through recycling and energy recovery and helps to save money and achieve sustainability goals.
Process
Material recovery is the mechanical treatment of used plastics. The chemical structure remains unchanged. The old parts are crushed, cleaned and separated into varieties. Material recycling makes sense if old parts can be recorded cleanly and sorted, and the recyclate replaces virgin material in a one-to-one ratio.
Raw material recovery is the cleavage of the polymer chains z. B. by the action of heat. The products are monomers or petrochemical raw materials such as oils and gases, which can be used for the production of new plastics or for other purposes. Raw material recycling is suitable for mixed and dirty plastic fractions.
